Broadband Survey

The Town of Cicero and Outagamie County are working with New North, our regional economic development entity, to study broadband internet service in our county and across the region, to identify gaps and prioritize investment.  The study is being conducted by Design Nine, Inc.  You can support the study by taking this household survey by October 29. The survey includes use of an accurate speed test.  Each household is asked to take the survey one time, using the speed test while at home, but may use the speed test multiple times, both at home and at work, to provide more data for the study.

New North is conducting a study of broadband internet service conditions and needs across our 18-county region this fall.  Consultant team Design Nine, Inc. and MSA Professional Services, Inc.  is leading the effort to understand access to and the quality of internet service across each county and will then offer recommendations in each county to close gaps and improve service.  The study includes a survey of households and a survey of businesses across the region, each to be completed by October 29.  The household survey has been mailed to all households in each county, set to arrive in early September (sample PDF of the survey attached).  Households can fill out and mail back the paper survey or use the link on the mailer to take it online.

We are contacting you as a stakeholder that may have an interest in improving internet service in your area, to invite your assistance in the promotion of these surveys. Greater participation means better data to identify gaps and prioritize new investment.
